Planned Limited publishes this statement voluntarily. Section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 requires a statement only from commercial organisations with an annual turnover of £36 million or more. Planned Limited is well below that threshold and is therefore not legally required to publish one. We publish because our clients deliver public infrastructure, because their own obligations reach down through their supply chains to us, and because a small organisation has no excuse for being unable to describe its own supply chain.
Planned Limited is a specialist project planning, project controls and programme assurance consultancy registered in England and Wales, company number 08881845, with its registered office at Eac/67 Wingate Square, London SW4 0AF. The company has one employee, its director, and delivers professional services directly rather than through subcontracted labour.
Our supply chain is short and consists almost entirely of purchased software, professional services and utilities. It includes software licensing (principally Oracle Primavera P6 and Oracle Primavera Cloud, and standard office software), cloud hosting and communications services, accountancy and insurance services, and occasional purchases of IT equipment. We do not manufacture, import or distribute goods, we do not employ agency or seasonal labour, and we do not operate in, or procure directly from, any sector or territory conventionally assessed as high risk for forced labour or human trafficking.
Planned Limited does not tolerate slavery, servitude, forced or compulsory labour, or human trafficking in any part of its business or its supply chain. We expect the same standard of every organisation we work with, whether as a client, a partner or a supplier.
We assess the modern slavery risk arising from our own operations as very low. The company has a single worker, who is its owner and director, engaged on no terms other than those he sets for himself, working from a home office in the United Kingdom.
We assess the risk in our direct supply chain as low. Our suppliers are predominantly large, publicly listed technology and professional services companies subject to section 54 in their own right, which publish their own statements. The residual risk sits further upstream, principally in the manufacture of IT hardware, where electronics supply chains carry known risks in raw material extraction and component assembly. We recognise that a purchaser of our size cannot audit those chains, and we address the risk through purchasing choices rather than by asserting an assurance we could not deliver.
Before engaging a new supplier of any significance we check whether they publish a modern slavery statement or equivalent policy, and where they are large enough to fall within section 54 we expect one to exist. Where we purchase IT hardware we favour manufacturers that publish supply chain due diligence and offer refurbished or extended life products, and we extend the working life of equipment rather than replacing it on a cycle.
Where Planned Limited works as a subcontractor or associate within a larger supply chain, we comply with the client's own modern slavery requirements and provide whatever assurance they require. Where we are ever in a position to engage subcontracted personnel, they will be engaged on written terms, paid at or above the applicable statutory minimum, and free to terminate on notice.
The director maintains an up to date understanding of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and the indicators of forced labour and labour exploitation as they arise in construction and infrastructure, the sectors in which our clients operate, and refreshes that understanding annually alongside the review of this statement.
Given the size of the organisation, we measure effectiveness by three simple tests, reviewed annually: whether any concern or allegation has been raised in relation to our operations or supply chain, and none has; whether our significant suppliers publish modern slavery statements or policies; and whether this statement has been reviewed, updated and republished within the year.
